The Cherry Orchard

For my first unit back at Arts university of Bournemouth aka the atom term 2020, I was selected to be a maker for the play The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov.

I made the costumes for the character Varya were she used two different costumes through out the play. For the main part of the play she used a walking skirt and a blouse and for act 3 the same walking skirt, but also a decorated evening bodice.

This was my first time working with an Edwardian costume and I learnt a lot form doing so. Learnt some new techniques and what to avoid when working with certain fabrics.
